Piñata is the second full length album of Mexican Institute of Sound and has samples of Mexican and Latin American folk music making one of the most particular sounds of Mexican Electronica.

The disc continued the vision established by the debut, Mejico Majico, as a carefully constructed collage of musical influences that reflect Lara’s unique impression of life in the sprawling metropolis of Mexico City.
